Medical - Off-Site Clinic
We are looking for a group of eager animal lovers!
Roice-Hurst Humane Society is helping recruit volunteers for a pop-up community spay/neuter clinic being led by the Bergen Spay & Neuter Alliance, happening March 20th through the 22dn.
While not a Roice-Hurst event, we are helping spread the word about this much needed clinic, as well as helping find volunteers to make it all happen. This three-day effort will help hundreds of local dogs and cats get spayed and neutered, directly reducing unwanted litters and easing pressure on shelters and rescues across our community.
To make this possible, they urgently need at least 12 volunteers each day.
Volunteer roles may include:
• Assisting with check-in/check-out
• Supporting post-surgical recovery
• Cleaning and laundry
• Washing/sterilizing instruments and prepping surgical packs
• Helping with food/drink for staff and volunteers
• Lifting dogs on and off surgery and recovery tables (strong helpers especially appreciated!)
You do not need to commit to full days — any amount of time helps.
Important notes:
• Volunteers will be covered under the Bergen umbrella and will sign a liability waiver upon arrival.
• The clinic will take place at the County Road & Bridge facility (large garage space for surgeries plus enclosed breakroom/restroom area).

Thank you for helping expand access to lifesaving spay/neuter services in Mesa County!
