Data Entry

Purpose:

Data Entry assistants work closely with Nature Centre staff to enter important data into our computer system. Supporting the mission and vision, Data Entry Assistants represents the Nature Centre in the translation of sightings into our Bio DataBase; the entry of data into citizen science online forms; and the tracking of important statistics.

Location:

Data Entry Assistants work indoors at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre located north of the High Level Bridge via Indian Battle Road and 3rd Avenue South.

Role:

  • Provide assistance to Technician, Clerkist, and Volunteer and Resource Development Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a role model.
  • Answer questions about the Nature Centre.
  • Be enthusiastic, respectful, and provoking wonder in the natural world.
  • Enter data into system at the direction of Nature Centre staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Nature Centre workroom.
  • Provide general interpretation.
  • Translate and interpret information received from other volunteers for entry into Bio DataBase.
