Conservation Project - Shoreline Clean-Up
Do you want to help keep our local waterways clean? Join the Nature Centre and the Oldman Watershed Council at a shoreline clean-up. Help pick up garbage along the banks of the Oldman River!
Shoreline Clean-Ups are part of a national citizen science project aimed at better understanding the types of litter found along Canadian shorelines. Help us document everything we find along the busiest stretches of river in Lethbridge!
The Nature Centre will supply the following:
- Gloves
- Garbage bags/pales
- Clipboards
- Pencils
- Statistics sheet
- Water
Participants are asked to:
- Wear sturdy footwear
- Wear clothes that can get dirty
- Dress for the weather
- Bring a friend!
The Nature Centre will provide supplies to interested groups who would like to organize their own Shoreline Clean-Up. Please contact the Nature Centre for more information.
