Volunteer Roles
Accessibility Volunteer
Accessibility Volunteers play a significant role in assisting audience members with accessibility needs, such as answering questions about each venue's accessibility features, the Festival's Accessible programming, as well as assisting audience members with specific needs which may include distributing accessibility devices for Audio Description and/or Hearing Assist devices.
This role is perfect if you are passionate about helping others, and can provide great customer service.
Access volunteers who sign up for a Sighted Guide Volunteer role will be required to attend additional training which is held virtually. More information to come.
General Volunteer
General Volunteers take on various roles to support pre-festival needs and/or festival operations. This role pertains to the non-specific needs of festival activities individually. General volunteer tasks can include artist support, wayfinders, survey handlers, and information booth ambassadors, among many others.
This role is great if you're unsure what you want to do, but are willing to try it all!
Front of House (FOH) Volunteer
Front of House Volunteers are ambassadors representing the public face of Luminato and play integral roles as front-line greeters, ticket-takers, ushers and/or information booth representatives at various festival venues and sites.
Their function is to actively engage with patrons by welcoming them, providing information about different productions, answering general questions, assisting audience members with wayfinding, and distributing festival materials.
This role is perfect if you have previous Front of House experience, or if you are interested in learning about how theatre productions operate.
