Interested in assisting staff with programs for adults?
Position Description: Under the direction of Library staff leading programs, Adult Program Volunteers may perform the following tasks:
Set up and take down tables, chairs, and other materials for library programs
Greet customers as they arrive, answer basic questions and count attendees
Take photos/videos and encourage participation in surveys
Suggest pre-determined alternate activities and accessibility support items to attendees, as needed
Help facilitate group discussions such as Conversation Cafes
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
18 or older
Basic customer service skills
Open to other ideas and opinions and willing to learn from others
Time commitment: Minimum 1 2-hour shift a month. Schedule varies by location.
Physical requirements: Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
