District Attorney's Office - Student Volunteer
The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is introducing a new student experience giving high school students an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at how the criminal justice system works.
The Student Volunteer may complete tasks, such as:
- Supporting case examination efforts through clerical and supportive efforts with an opportunity to learn and participate in review of files under the supervision of DA's Office staff.
- Opportunities to observe internal trainings and/or court proceedings.
- Boxing, organizing, and scanning historical files.
This opportunity is anticipated to last for one semester and interested students should be aged 16 years or older. Volunteers under 18 must receive parent/guardian consent to participate.
In the application, please describe your interest in law enforcement or the criminal justice system. After completing the application, DA's Office staff will reach out to schedule an interview.
