What is the Repack Project?
Volunteers at EFN’s Repack Project prepare bulk foods for distribution by repackaging the foods into smaller, family-sized portions. Bulk foods include rice, beans, oats, pasta, frozen corn and peas, melons, apples, Once repackaged the food is ready to go out to the 75+ Pierce County food pantries, meal sites, and shelters that we serve. Each year, volunteers repackage more than 1.5 million pounds of food, equivalent to 3 meals-a-day for a year for 274 families of four!
