It would not be possible to distribute more than 18 million pounds of food each year without the help of our amazing volunteers! EFN volunteers help repackage bulk foods for distribution to food pantries, support a variety of roles at our fundraising events, deliver food directly to those in need, and perform behind-the-scene tasks in our office.
With your help we are able to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse, and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry.

Abundance
Abundance is EFN's yearly fundraising dinner, scheduled for October 24th this year. The event aims to raise funds to sustain our partner programs and so we can strive towards eradicating hunger in Pierce County. Your participation will contribute to the success of this important event!

Empty Bowls
Empty Bowls is an annual event enjoyed by more than 500 people each year. During Empty Bowls, attendees can choose from more than 2,000 bowls to purchase. Volunteers are always needed!
Volunteer to help with different aspects of the event and ensuring guests have a great time. Soup and bread are provided!
Date: Saturday, December 5
Volunteers arrive at 11 a.m. to check in and receive training to be in place before 12 p.m. when the event opens. The event ends at 3 p.m. with clean up taking place right away, bowls go back into boxes and put onto rolling cart/bins.

Repack Project - For Individuals and Families
Volunteers at our Repack Project help prepare bulk foods for distribution to food banks by repackaging the food into smaller, family portions. Bulk foods may include rice, oats, or pasta.

Reserved for Groups - Repack Project
Volunteers at our Repack Project help prepare bulk foods for distribution to food banks by repackaging the food into smaller, family portions. Bulk foods may include rice, beans, oats frozen corn and peas, oranges, and apples.
To register a group of 8-15 volunteers for the Repack Project, contact Amy@efoodnet.org.
