Volunteer Programs - 4. City Wide – Stormdrain Troopers
Did you know that any water that flows down streets and into a storm drain directly empties into our local waterways, without treatment ? Most resident aren’t aware of this and so we want to get the word out! This program will provide kits to volunteers who can now with the stroke of a paint brush help protect City of Abbotsford rivers and streams by reminding folks with a bright yellow fish at each drain that what goes in to their storm drain matters. These kits will consist of a bucket, fish template stencil, paint brushes, street paint, and a small broom. Sign up for this activity to show your interest then contact our Volunteer Coordinator to set up your safety orientation, discuss locations and collect your kit.
