APRIL is Community Clean-up Month. We are excited to welcome you, your family, business, social group, organization, school, class - or however you wish to participate - to join Community Clean – up Month.
This is a great way to safely get involved in volunteering, contribute to environmental stewardship in our community, encourage social responsibility and it helps beautify our neighbourhoods as a way to celebrate Earth Day, April 22nd .
After you register on yourself and/or your group for this activity below, sign up for one of our supply collection meetings where one member from your group will attend to retrieve supplies and review our safety guidelines so you can get out there and beautify our community! The Volunteer Coordinator will also help you determine an appropriate location for your efforts based on preferences and the numbers in your group.
Description of Responsibilities:
• Collect litter.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Garbage should be placed in the park or trail garbage bin or your household waste collection.
• Have FUN!
Skills and Qualities Required:
• Ability to work independently.
Requirements:
• Let us know you are participating.
• Pick up your supplies.
• Minimum age: 14, unless with a family unit, group, club.
Time Commitment:
• self-directed anytime during the month of April 2025
