Volunteer Programs - 1. Parks - Adopt a Live 5-2-1-0 Playbox

Live 5-2-1-0 Abbotsford Playboxes

As a parent, we all want our kids to be healthy, to play, and to have fun and the reality is that there can be a number of challenges to making that happen. The City of Abbotsford believes in helping our families raise healthy children. We know that children, who are raised in an environment where they are active, have better physical and emotional health, perform better academically, and have greater leadership skills. Physical activity also lowers depression and crime rates while increasing productivity and innovation. These are essential components to a healthy and thriving community.

As part of developing a healthy community Live 5-2-1-0 Abbotsford Playboxes are have been placed in several City of Abbotsford Parks and can be accessed by retrieving the code through our website www.abbotsford.ca/playbox.

We look for volunteers to help to assist in maintaining these boxes. Want to host a box in a local park you near you? Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to inquire volunteer@abbotsford.ca
