Erskine

We are looking for some additional help in the Royal Scots Shop which is situated within the Erskine Home.

We are looking for people over the age of 21 and it would particularly suit a fit mature/retired person

The committment we are looking for is a minimum of 4 hours per week (one shift) including wekends.

The shop is open from 9am to 3pm each day including weekends but shifts will start earlier and finish later than these times to allow for opening and cashing up routines.

No experience is necessary as training will be given. Duities include operating our simple cash register, replenishing stock, and cashing up at the end of the day. The Royal Scots Shop exists to meet the needs of the veterans who live within the Erskine Home so our volunteers will be part of the team caring for them. Patience and a cheery disposition is what we are after.

As you would be serving vulnerable adults volunteers are required to become members of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and undergo an appropriate Disclosure Scotland Check as well as the other recruitment procedures.

To have your own transport would be an advantage as the Erskine Home is unfortunately not well served by public transport.
