Community Support - TriCALA - Community Ambassador
What are the Volunteer duties or responsibilities?
Ambassadors will provide newcomers with support by introducing them to the community and helping them to access resources that newcomers need and ultimately to become valued and contributing members in the community.
Education/Knowledge Required
Wanted: A desire to help and support newcomers in our area to meet needs and wants in their new community. A willingness to provide a point of contact in the community is necessary.
Benefits to the Volunteer
What will the volunteer gain from this position? Ambassadors will be provided with free training on a variety of topics that will apply to both their Ambassador role and personal lives. The role gives the opportunity to connect with amazing people from all over the world, build friendships and be community leaders.
Time commitment required
Initial contacts may require a little more in terms of time commitment as you help newcomers navigate any necessary services (1-3 hours in the initial phase per meeting.0. After that it will be a matter of staying in touch and helping as needed. (1/2 - 1 hour a week or every other week)
