Ways for Youth to Volunteer - Youth Volunteer (11-17)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Encourage involvement in positive programs and activities.
- Interact one on one and in small groups(programming, activities, games, etc).
- Assist with Youth Centre special events (planning, setup, operation, takedown, etc).
- Other duties as necessary.
- Have an idea you want to propose or work on... let us know!
Educations/Knowledge Preference
- No education required.
- Personal Initiative – Are you self-motivated and interested in sharing your abilities and knowledge with others?
- Creative – Do you have artistic hobbies or passions? Are you an out of the box thinker?
- Outgoing - Can you spark up a conversation with a stranger? Yes... perfect. If not, lets help you with that.

Founded in 2004, The Stony Plain Youth Centre prides itself on having provided a safe space for youth for almost 20 years! The SPYC grants youth opportunities in leadership, creative expression, and emotional support. The Centre can also be a place for youth to meet new people and have fun!
Volunteering at the Stony Plain Youth Centre will provide youth with valuable experience in working with other youth.
