Stony Plain Youth Centre - Stony Plain Youth Team (11-17) - EVENTS
Duties/Responsibilities
- Working as a team to create a positive environment for everyone to come feel safe and welcome!
- Assist with Youth Centre Special Events
- Operations – be involved from the beginning setup the booth, operate the equipment/sell the products and cleanup/takedown the booth.
- Customer Services and Sales - sell products, handle cash and promote the YC and the programs!
- Inventory Management - be a part of tracking inventory and ordering/buying inventory for upcoming events.
- Communications/Marketing - be a part of the planning process on how to market our events and market the Youth Centre programs/activities.
- Other duties as necessary.

Founded in 2004, The Stony Plain Youth Centre prides itself on having provided a safe space for youth for 20 years! The SPYC grants youth opportunities in leadership, creative expression, and emotional support. The Centre can also be a place for youth to meet new people and have fun!
Involvement as a Volunteer in the Stony Plain Youth Team will provide you with valuable experience to build your resume. – Start the session by writing a resume with your current experience, take the training provided(Emergency First Aid - Level C, Safe Food Handling, Fire Extinguisher Training, Cash Handling + Sales, Equipment Training, other training as required), work the summer concessions, and end the session with resume rewrite session where we can add all the valuable skills you’ve learned over the summer!
Time Commitment Required – Yes, training for the Stony Plain Youth Team indicates that you will be working a minimum of 10 hours throughout the summer. These shifts will require that you sign up early and are available for the entirety of the shift.
