Counselling/Listening - Turning Points Counselling Services - Various positions

Turning Points Counselling Services (non-profit; est. 1994) offers free, trauma-informed counselling and groups to adults affected by family violence in the Tri-Region. 

We’re recruiting Independent Clinical Volunteer Therapists (3–6 hrs/week, one academic term). Eligible pathways include R.Psych/RSW (clinical scope), Provisional Psychologist with CAP-approved external supervisor, CCC, or master’s-level counsellor between practicum completion and provisional registration (case-by-case). 

Volunteers document care in Jane EMR using agency templates. Unpaid; housing not provided.

Digital/Social Content Creator (Volunteer)
Help Turning Points share hopeful, trauma-informed stories across Instagram/Facebook/website. You’ll plan a simple content calendar, create posts/reels in Canva, write compassionate captions, and track basic metrics. Ideal if you’re creative, organized, and comfortable with brand guidelines and accessibility. ~3–5 hrs/week, hybrid.

Administration Assistant (Volunteer)
Be the calm, organized first contact for clients. Support phones/email, booking, file prep, and data entry; assist with intake triage (non-clinical) and documentation in Google Workspace/Jane EMR. Discretion, accuracy, and warm professionalism are a must. ~3–5 hrs/week, on-site/hybrid.
