Community Support - Meals on Wheels - Drivers
Meals on Wheels Stony Plain is looking for drivers to deliver meals to seniors and homebound residents.
The driver duties are to pick up meals from Whispering Waters Manor Kitchen and delivery them. The meal is packaged containers and is carried in a Styrofoam carrying case. At the end of the delivery route the Styrofoam carrying cases have to be returned to Whispering Waters Manor. The meals are picked up at 11:30 am on Mondays to Fridays. No Meals are delivered on Stat Holidays. The drivers choose a day that fits their schedule and they deliver 6- 8 meals per day. The schedule is a monthly schedule 4 or 5 times in the month. The rotation is every 2nd or 3rd month. It takes approximately 45 minutes to 60 minutes to deliver the meals.
Education/Knowledge Required
Drivers are required to have a clear criminal record search including a vulnerable sector check. Driver's must have a Valid Driver's License, Valid Vehicle Insurance, Valid Vehicle Registration and a road worthy vehicle. Driver's must show patience and understanding when dealing with seniors. Driver's use their own vehicles with no renumeration.

Time commitment required
Drivers make their own commitment. They can drive every 2 or 3 month.
