Administration & General Support - Guest Services Scout

Activity Description

Volunteers will scout one of four areas of the gardens. Volunteers will pick up any garbage they see, note any furniture that is in the wrong spot or broken, wipe down outdoor furniture, and ensure paths are clear. 


What to do when you arrive

  1. Sign in under Grounds Scout in Better Impact upon arrival.

  2. Go to the Volunteer Locker in the back hallway. Pick up the spray bottle, a rag, and scan the QR code with your phone to pull up the Grounds Scout survey you'll use to report anything we need to know about. 

  3. Decide which zone you plan to scout in the survey. Walk through the selected zone.
    • Use the checklist in the Grounds Scout survey to check all areas.

    • Leave notes in the survey of anything that needs to be tended to. 

  4. If you have time and want to do another area, hooray! If not, put the spray bottle and rag back in the Volunteer Locker, submit the survey, and log out of Better Impact when you leave. If anything was severely amiss, let the Front Desk staff know they can notify professional staff.
