Activity Description & Instructions
Volunteers will be stationed throughout the gardens to provide directional support or in the Candy Factory to pass out candy.
Schedule
Friday, October 9 - Saturday, October 10
- 4:30-8:00 p.m.
- 7:30-11:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 11
- 4:30-7:30 p.m.
- 7:00-10:00 p.m.
What to do upon arrival
- Enter the Main Entrance to the Lobby using the door farthest to the right (most western). This is the only door which will remain unlocked to the public.
- Once inside, go to the Mahlstede Building; the Volunteer HQ is located in the Speer Room.
- Each team will meet for a short introduction which will include role assignments and expectations. Please arrive on time to ensure a prompt start to the meeting before heading out.
Training & Requirements
- All volunteers will receive onsite training during the nightly meetings.
- Volunteers should wear black clothing or dress in family-friendly costumes.
- It can get cold after the sun goes down. Dress for changing weather.
- Volunteers may need to stand for the duration of their shift.
- Volunteers will interact with guests, so a level of comfort and professionalism in speaking with strangers is necessary.
