Youth Program - General Volunteer (18+)

Seeking outgoing, reliable volunteers to encourage youth to socialize and engage in activities.

Available Shifts: Choose from Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from 3pm-6pm on weekly basis until the end of June

Responsibilities:

• Provide general assistance and supervision for youth program.
• Socialize and build relationships with youth during the program.
• Encourage participants to engage in various activities.
• Act as a positive role model for participants
• Advise Child/Youth staff leaders of any issues that arise during the program.
• Ensure proper use of the youth rooms (including: youth lounge, music rooms, learning center & gym).

Requirements:

• Must be 18+.
• Must be reliable.
• Must be able to relate appropriately with youth.
• Ability to deal with conflicts as they arise.
• Vulnerable Sector Check  (VSC) is required.

Commitment:  Ideally volunteers can commit for the September to June period but otherwise a minimum 6 month commitment (during the school year) is requested.
