Donations Sorter

Do you enjoy practical, hands-on work and helping behind the scenes? As a Donation Sorter Volunteer, you will support AWLQ’s Op Shop operations by sorting, processing and preparing donated goods at our main donation drop-off location.

This role is based at Shelter Road (Coombabah) and focuses on the back-of-house handling of incoming donations. Tasks may include sorting items for sale, recycling or disposal, organising stock, preparing items for distribution, maintaining tidy work areas, and supporting the safe movement of donated goods. Your contribution helps maximise the value of community donations and supports AWLQ’s lifesaving work.

We are looking for volunteers who are:

  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on tasks and manual handling
  • Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Happy working behind the scenes as part of a team
  • Positive, practical and willing to follow procedures and safety guidelines
  • Comfortable sorting a wide variety of donated items

📍 Location: Shelter Road (Coombabah)
💛 Commitment: Weekly shift for a minimum of 3 months
🕒 Shifts: Weekday shifts available (times may vary depending on donation volume and operational needs)

Every donation sorted helps support AWLQ’s Op Shop operations and contributes directly to raising essential funds for animals in need.
