3. Casual/ one-off volunteering opportunities - 🌍 Earth Day: come to an event at the Senedd or make drawing to send along

This Earth Day, April 22nd, Climate Cymru (a network of organisation like us across Wales who work to make progress on climate and nature action) are coming together at the Senedd. We are calling on all political parties in the run up to the Senedd election to acknowledge that the problems ordinary people are facing, from soaring bills to the climate crisis, are all pieces of the same puzzle.

We'd love you to be involved! There are two ways to take part.

1. Come to the Senedd with Hannah on April 22nd, 11am. There will be speeches, live music, and the unveiling of piece of artwork commissioned to share the Cymru Together campaign themes: fair homes, community power, and thriving nature for a stronger Wales for everyone. You are also welcome to come along to a networking lunch afterwards, also in the Bay. Please let me know by April 5th if you'd like to come to this as spaces are very limited!

2. Can't come on the day? Create a simple artwork to form part of the "line of connection" as a visual display of unity. You will need this template - print your own or come and pick one up from the Welcome Cabin. Fill in the hexagon puzzle piece template with your vision of the Wales and future you want to see. Not sure what to draw? Here are some prompts to get you started...

- What does a better future for Wales look like to you?
- What would you love to see more of in your community?
- Where does our energy come from? (e.g. wind, solar, community energy?)
- Where does our food come from? (e.g. local farms, shared growing spaces?)
- How are people feeling - what does wellbeing look like?
- What do our rivers, mountains, and forests look like?
- How do we get around? (e.g. walking, cycling, public transport?)
- How do we care for each other in your future Cymru?
- What does a fair and just Wales feel like?

Then use the space below to write a message to your MS. You can find some guidance on doing this here.

Finally, bring your completed hexagon sheet back to Railway Gardens and leave it for Hannah. I'll take them all to the Senedd on the day to form part of the line of connection, so you can be there in spirit!

If you're planning to come on the day, please sign up ASAP. If you need transport please let me know, including where you need picking up from.

If you're planning to make an artwork there's no need to sign up, just drop it off for me before 22nd April.
