Lead and regular volunteering roles - 🧡 Garden of Sanctuary Lead Volunteer
This is a new lead role to support Railway Gardens in becoming a more welcoming and accessible place for refugees and asylum seekers.
We are looking for one or two people who are able to commit a few hours each month to support some or all of the following:
🧡 Represent Railway Gardens at relevant network meetings, including Wales City of Sanctuary meetings, and feedback learning and contacts to the team.
🧡 Keep good lines of communication open with Oasis, including attending occasional events there, sharing our opportunities with them, and keeping in touch to explore ways we could support their work.
🧡 Promoting Railway Gardens to organisations that support people seeking sanctuary
🧡 Create periodic content for our volunteer and public newsletters, our blog and our social media, to share resources and tips for anyone wanting to make RG/ the wider community a more welcoming space.
🧡 Develop your own ideas, with support from the Green Squirrel team, for ways to make Railway Gardens a garden of sanctuary.
