4. Training and other opportunities - Train as a Play Shack Session leader

We have an amazing Play Shack full of den building equipment and loose parts equipment!

We are seeking volunteers to be trained up to run play sessions using the Shack and lead play activities during school holidays and alongside other activities. 

As part of this training you'll learn...

  • The theory behind loose parts/ child-led play, and why it's so beneficial for children
  • How to access and use the kit in our play shack
  • Where and how to lead play activities on site
  • Ideas for play prompts
  • How to keep everyone safe and manage behavioural issues with confidence

If this sounds good, please sign up to express your interest in this training. Once we have enough people signed up (usually 5+) we'll agree a date together for a training session.

Once you have completed your play training we'll contact you with any dates where we're looking for someone to run a play session, or you can suggest dates when you'd like to run one.
