4. Training and other opportunities - ☀️ The Volunteer Summer Social!
After last year's fun and games with the Great Splott Bake Off, and our cosy Christmas gathering, we have been really looking forward to getting together with you all and celebrating what you've achieved over the past year. Socials are a great chance to get to know each other better and make new friends, whether you've been volunteer with us for years, months or days.
You are warmly invited to join us on May 20th, 5:30pm - 8pm for food, drinks, good company... and the Railway Gardens volunteer choir! As it was so much fun to sing together at the Christmas session we've invited the wonderful Amy from More Than Music Cymru to get us all singing and laughing together. Amy makes singing together super comfortable and fun and you do not have to be able to sing, or have done any signing before, to enjoy this!
(Equally if you really really don't like singing then you are most welcome to simply listen in, chill, and enjoy the food).
We'll also be announcing the recipients of this year's Hidden Heroes award.
Please please pretty please RSVP before May 13th so we can plan for food.
