3. Casual/ one-off volunteering opportunities - Help at the Seed Swap event
The annual seed swap is back! The usual activities such as tool sharpening are back we've added some exciting extras this year including gardening talks. We need around 8 - 10 volunteers to help on the day. Roles include...
- Supervising the seed swap and explaining to visitors how it works
- Welcoming visitors on the gate
- Leading a simple craft - making seed paper valentines cards
This is always a lovely event that brings together growers and marks the start of the growing season. It also supports more people to start growing by helping people find free seeds and build their confidence, as well as encouraging them to come and get involved in growing at Railway Gardens.
