Summer Camps 2026 Volunteer Orientation
Please join us for an introduction to volunteering with the City of Port Coquitlam's Summer Camp volunteer opportunities. This Orientation will include:
- An introduction to Port Coquitlam Recreation, including our facilities, mission and values
- What to expect when volunteering in day camp programs
- Information on working with children, including expectations and procedures
- A chance to meet your volunteer supervisors and some fellow volunteers, and
- An opportunity to finish your required paperwork, receive a volunteer t-shirt, and ask any questions you may have about what to expect while volunteering
Date: Thursday, June 18th, 2026
Time: 4:00pm - 7:30pm
Location: The Port Coquitlam Community Centre, JB Young Room
2150 Wilson Ave, Port Coquitlam BC,
Volunteer duties will include: Please come prepared to participate and contribute.
Please bring/wear clothing you can move comfortably in, including sneakers (no flip flops or sandals). Food will be provided.
