All House Events
Recreation Therapy works with the residents at the DuPage Care Center to develop and use their leisure in ways that enhance their health, functional abilities, independence, and quality of life. The Recreation Department encourages the residents to lead an active lifestyle by offering a wide variety of social and leisure opportunities both within the Center and in the community.
Activities help both on the unit/neighborhood and all house throughout the week. Programs included:
- Ceramic
- Garden Club
- Music performances
- Social and Holiday gatherings
- Resident Council
- VETSO- Veterans Groups
- Trivia
- Bingo
- And more!
Regular assistance is always needed for shopping trips, in-house social events such as bingos, music performances, trivia, and games.
Volunteers support all house events by transporting to and from the in house events.
Times and dates are flexible and vary based on monthly unit calendar.
