Nature Care Group volunteer
The Nature Care Group program is Tweed Shire Council's community bushcare volunteer program.
As a volunteer with Nature Care, you will work under the direction of a volunteer group coordinator and Council's volunteer supervisor, and actively carry out on-ground works that helps protect and enhance the Tweed's natural habitats and biodiversity.
Some of the key activities include:
- remove weeds and other plants that are harmful to our natural areas
- propagate native plants in care group nurseries
- plant appropriate local native trees, shrubs and grasses
- remove rubbish
- join social get-togethers, working bees, training days and sharing information.
