Program & Volunteer Responsibilities Overview:
Volunteers are the heart of the VITA program and come from various professions and social
positions, such as working professionals, retirees, college and high school students, IRS employees, and individuals who just want to help others in their communities.
We are holding in-person trainings (attending is mandatory):
January 13th-16th (1-5pm)
- If this training does not work, alternative options are available.
Location: Southwestern College Main Campus (Room: TBD)
We are looking for a 12-week commitment January 27th-April 14th to fill various roles.
Available shift: Tuesdays between 8:30am - 8:00 pm
We do ask volunteers to do a minimum of 4 hours per week.
Volunteers should demonstrate the following:
- Have the desire to serve others
- Willingness to follow directions
- Communication skills
- Enjoy working as part of a team and interacting with the community.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Work collaboratively with team to achieve common goals

- Mentally and emotionally: Ability to work under deadlines, various deliverables and dealing with clients in crisis and difficult situations.
