General interests

Warehouse Volunteers

Our Warehouse volunteers are what makes the wheels turn at Foodbank WA.

Individual and corporate volunteers work together to help us sort groceries and fruit & vegetables, pack hampers, undertake general cleaning and pick orders to ensure our charity partners receive the food they need.

The warehouse operates Monday to Friday 9.00am – 3.00pm.

No experience is necessary and there is not a lot of heavy lifting but does suit an active, team player who likes to keep busy.

Due to working in an active warehouse an ability to understand and adhere to strict OH&S warehouse policies is required.

Administration Volunteer

There may also be opportunities to help out with our day-to-day office activities and special projects, especially in skilled areas such as fundraising, food donor relations, marketing, IT systems, administration, and program delivery.

Your administration skills play a vital role in supporting staff to assist more people in the community.

This role suits a friendly, confident and focused volunteer with IT and office administration experience.

Events & Fundraising

From time to time we call on volunteers to assist us with our fundraising and food raising events. You can help us tin rattle, host a community food drive or engage local community members in our cause.

Most of our events are in the evening or on weekends and volunteers promote the organization and raise awareness of food insecurity in our community.

This role suits friendly, reliable and confident people who enjoy chatting and providing information to people on our cause.

Mobile Foodbank Volunteer

Mobile Foodbank concept is one way we can take food directly to the people who need it most throughout the Perth metro area. We’re always in need of volunteers to help with our mobile service.

We know transport can be a barrier for people experiencing hardship, so our new Mobile Foodbank concept is one way we can take food directly to the people who need it most throughout the Perth metro area.

Foodbank WA is working with our charity partners across Perth metropolitan areas to provide emergency food to individuals and families in times of crisis.

Skilled Volunteers

There may also be opportunities to help out with our day-to-day office activities and special projects, especially in skilled areas such as fundraising, food donor relations, marketing, IT systems, administration, and program delivery.
