In-Person Short Retreats (UBC Asian Centre) - On-Site Volunteers
Volunteers in this category set up and take down the hall for the retreat Various tasks are assigned throughout the retreat from Friday 4:00 pm to late Sunday afternoon. Under the direction of the Asian Center Retreat Manager and Volunteer Coordinator, volunteers in this category provide assistance before, during and after a retreat. In addition to setting up before the retreat and packing up afterwards, you will be involved with other tasks which may include:
- Putting out chairs for 50-120 attendees
- Lifting large risers for the teachers stage
- Putting up signage, staffing welcome table
- Teacher's lunch
- Light cleaning
- Attendee check-in (requires a mobile phone or tablet)
