This volunteer role provides meaningful and purposeful activities for the volunteer by promoting patient interaction and communication in a health care setting.  

The types of tasks & responsibilities may include the following:

• Redirection/diversion/interaction with patients experiencing forms of dementia/confusion.
• Emotional support for patients and families  who are in longer term stays.
• Engage in socializing/visiting/playing games/reading/walks etc.
• Volunteer must be 16 years of age or older.
