The Recreation Ambassador assists with various activities at the site. They encourage client's participation in activities.
Recreation Ambassadors are the extra pair of "helping hands" that add to the trained services of the Long-term care facility staff, working together to enhance the lives of residents
Recreation Ambassadors assist in recreational games, like bingo, bowling, curling etc., assisting with special on-site events like teas and birthday parties, and assisting with portering and supervision while on community outings.
Program will vary but is ongoing. Volunteers will be scheduled prior to the beginning of the month according to activity and volunteer preference.
Shifts available: 10:00 - 11:30 am, 2:30 - 3:40 pm. 5:45 - 7:00 pm
Recreation Program Support, Baking,1:1 Visiting, Reading, Puzzles, Games, Crafts, Nail Painting, Escorting Residents to and from activities, Walks Outdoors, Meal Programs, Exercises, Bible Studies, Curling and setting Hair, Horticulture Volunteer and Spiritual Care Support.
Times vary and are repeated weekly on an ongoing basis

Activities include, but are not limited to: Reading groups, puzzles, games, bingo, nail painting, going for walks, group painting, crafts, exercise programs, and special events like Christmas parties and teas. Birthday parties, volunteer group outings, curling and setting hair, horticulture, spiritual care support.
Times vary and are repeated weekly on an ongoing basis
Gift Shop Volunteers contribute to a facility’s healing culture and provide a service to patients, staff and the public in order to raise funds to purchase equipment.
Volunteers greet and welcome visitors to the Gift Shop, assist with sales, light cleaning duties, and other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Monday to Friday: 1-:00 am to 1:00 pm, and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Auxiliary Volunteer - Assist with activities and events. This may include bingo, parties, teas, provide & stock the End of Life Cart for family members to use when loved one is in the end stages of life. They also do fundraising in the facility as well as in the community for purchases of equipment for the residents.

The goals of pet visitation programs are to provide opportunities for patients to reach and maintain their optimal level of physical and mental functioning; to maintain or re-establish interests, social contacts and dignity, to alleviate anxiety and redirect attention from their own condition and try to provide an outlet for emotion; and to provide structured, meaningful daily activity.
Shifts available Monday to Sunday, morning afternoon and evening. Dependent upon availability.
The volunteer role will provide a positive, safe and smooth flowing experience while public attend flu clinics. Volunteers will greet public coming to immunization clinics and direct them to waiting areas and to the next available immunizer
Clinics will be held in Community Halls at the following places: Melfort, St. Brieux, Naicam, Kinistino, Weldon, Star City, thus also including the schools in these areas.
Shifts vary Monday to Friday between 1000 - 1900
Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver nutritious meals to clients assessed as needing support with nutrition.
Personal accomplishment, develop and enhance communication skills, learn new job skills & obtain a work routine, being involved & giving back to community.
Volunteer picks up meals at given time from the outlet and delivers to client in their home.
Shifts vary, delivery over lunch time hours.
Youth Volunteer- Kinistino Jubilee Lodge
Supervised individual visits such as- Reading, Painting Nails, Playing card/ Board Games, Conversations, and Walks if appropriate. participate and assist in group activities such as bingo, Card or board games, Coffee time, and Crafts. Kinistino Jubilee Lodge
