Southern Maine Agency on Aging

Through a grant that the Southern Maine Agency on Aging receives from AmeriCorps Seniors Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), we have the ability to partner and recruit for volunteer opportunities at other nonprofits!

Avesta Housing is open to volunteers in various roles in their senior housing buildings across York and Cumberland counties.

Trafton Center (Sanford) is looking for a number of handy individuals that would be willing to help out with small tasks around older adult’s homes.

York County Community Action (Sanford) utilizes volunteer drivers to assist with the ever-growing transportation needs in York and Cumberland counties. Most requests are for appointments within York County and Southern Cumberland County (Scarborough/Portland).

WindowDressers volunteers help to measure and install efficiency window inserts and save clients’ money on heating costs. Take measurements, participate in community builds or even source food for other volunteers! Leadership roles available!
