🏠 Disability Residential Services - Social Events Coordinator
SOCIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR
Location: East Geelong VIC 3219
Do you have a passion for creating accessible events?
Meaningful relationships and engagement are pillars of the person-centred active support model of support practiced at genU. However, opportunity for people to meet and make new friends can be limited.
We are seeking to offer more social engagement for residents within our disability housing. At genU, we offer flexible housing and living support options to suit individual needs. From short-term respite to long-term homes, our supports help create safe, comfortable and empowering places to live.
This role will assist genU Shared & Respite Living to coordinate monthly low-cost social events for residents at accessible venues in the local community. You will create fun, safe, and accessible events for residents.
Come use your events and communication skills to make a meaningful difference.
The Essentials: You are an enthusiastic person with a passion for creating inclusive spaces with a background in event management (preferred). The role will include working behind the scenes and with clients, with hybrid attendance (from genU site and remote).
Program Hours: Monday – Fridays, during business hours at a time that suits the successful volunteer for event planning. After hours work may be required to assist with hosting and delivering event.
