A regular, mainly office-based role based in the Fundraising Office located at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Key tasks include:
- Accessing the donate@ email to read and action - forward important information and inquiries to the right people and reply to emails.
- Sorting through emails and ensuring all elements are being checked; delete unwanted emails, check junk mail and “other” tab, and move replied and checked emails to other folders.
- Engaging with donors to provide a thank you message and a tax-deductible receipt for their donation.
- Creating and sending certificates, such as certificates of appreciation, winner certificates, Tree to me, Walkways for Wildlife pavers, and prize vouchers, etc.
- Producing handwritten donor thank-you notes or cards.
- Calling and Emailing donors to listen to why they enjoy supporting and to provide stories of impact.
- Recording details in CRM.
- Taking photos of completed pavers, matching requests to ensure spelling and requests are all correct, etc.
- Assist with maintaining office cleanliness, ensuring all unneeded rubbish and paper is thrown/sorted out, so the office isn’t messy.
- Event preparation – donation boxes, banners, posters, brochures, Square device etc
- Going to events and helping with setting up and packing down, and helping with the overall event

- Have ability to confidently interact with members of the public, team members, corporate partners, and stakeholders.
- Love and care about animals and are comfortable in a natural environment and being near wildlife.
- Are comfortable attending events and engaging with people.
- Have an understanding of the importance of philanthropy to support our community and to save our environment and its precious creatures.
