FUNDRAISING DONATION TEAM VOLUNTEER

 

This is a ongoing,  regular role in which you will always be teamed up with a second volunteer to manage our collection of fun and joyful Koala Donation Boxes designed by local artists. These boxes are located with our wonderful partners across the Gold Coast from Tugun to Bundall. The role will require you to continue our strong community relationships and complete associated admin tasks such as issuing receipts and helping with correspondence to our generous donors. Full training and use of a vehicle will be provided. 

 

Key tasks include:

  • Safely and courteously driving to designated businesses.
  • Interacting with the public, fellow volunteers, and business owners.
  • Collecting existing donation boxes and replacing them with new "Animals with Attitude" donation boxes.
  • Recording details such as business names, contact information, and box locations for reporting purposes.
  • Engaging with the community to explain how their support aids Currumbin Wildlife Hospital's vital work.
  • Expressing gratitude and sharing stories about the Hospital’s impact on local wildlife.

 

We are looking for people who are passionate about wildlife conservation and possess:

  • A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
  • Availability for regular commitments.
  • Age 18 or older with access to email.
  • Moderate fitness level (able to carry loads up to 3kg).
  • Valid Open Queensland driver’s license and proficiency in safe driving practices.
  • Familiarity with using maps and mobile phones.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort in engaging with diverse community members.
  • Genuine love for animals and comfort in natural environments.
