Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission

Volunteers will be stationed on the beach to help organize participants, notify them of their upcoming surf timeslot, and assist with participant transport as needed. Volunteers should be comfortable transferring participants into and out of wheelchairs as needed. Connect and socialize with participants and family members during event wait times. Be prepared to communicate to emergency responders in case of an emergency or need. All volunteers will receive training from event organizers. Ability to surf is not a requirement but is appreciated. Volunteers should identify themselves at the gate to avoid parking fees. Event jerseys will be worn while in the water and returned when done.
