Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA - Burlingame and San Mateo

Kitten Nursery - feed, socialize, and offer care for orphaned kittens who are too young to be adopted. This role requires a regular weekly commitment (same shift every week) through the entirety of Kitten Season. The length of the season changes year to year, but it generally mid-April through early October. We ask for no more than two missed shifts throughout the season. This attendance policy is in place to ensure that the nursery kittens are receiving continuous and dependable care from volunteers they are familiar with.

This role is available for volunteers 13+. Volunteers ages 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian - both parent and junior must submit individual volunteer applications. 

Available Shifts: Volunteers commit to one regular weekly shift - no more than two absences throughout the season.
Breakfast (7am to 11am) (Every day currently available)
Lunch (12pm to 4pm) (Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds, Fri, Sat available)
Dinner (5pm to 9pm) (Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs, Sat available)

Training Required: Online training, Hands on with mentor
Start Date: Likely mid-April to early May
