RMHC - Event and Custom Activities

Supporting seriously ill children & their families

Throughout the year we hold a number of events to raise much needed funds.

Being a part of our wonderful fundraising event team, your contribution can go a long way at supporting many families in need.

Please note that you are applying to assist at offsite events only. If you wish to volunteer within one of our Houses and/or Family Rooms please click here for the correct application form. If you volunteer within one of our Houses and/or Family Rooms you can also assist with offsite events.

There are various events which we will always appreciate your help with. Here are some examples of our larger events:

• Golf Day
• Ride for Sick Kids
• CEO Walk in my shoes
• Melbourne Racing Carnival (Pin and Win) 

We also hold a number of smaller events throughout the year. These include:

• Bunnings Sausage Sizzles
• School Holiday Activities at Shopping Centre’s  
• Christmas Gift Wrapping at Shopping Centre’s

Who are you?

Aside from a fun, energetic, passionate human - we are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission and actively wants to contribute to the values held by Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Ideally you'll have:

• Excellent engagement skills to be able to chat with our families
• A "can-do" / positive attitude to brighten peoples' lives
• The availability to commit to a 2-4 events per year

Compliance and requirements:

RMHC VIC & TAS will cover the cost for compliance checks

• Valid Working With Children (VIC) Working With Vulnerable People (TAS) - or willing to obtain one
• Clear Police Criminal Check 
• Agreement to RMHC VIC & TAS Policies and Procedures
• Able to attend an induction (online or face to face)
• Be over 18

We do not sign off student placements until 4 events have been attended
