Student Placement and Career Exploration Volunteers gain hands-on experience at Salem Home while learning about careers in healthcare and community services. Students support residents and staff while developing practical skills in a real-world setting.
This role is ideal for students completing school requirements or exploring future career paths.
What Volunteers Do
- Participate in one-to-one visits and group activities
- Assist with Therapeutic Recreation programs
- Support staff with simple tasks and projects
- Build positive relationships with residents
- Follow direction from staff and supervisors
- Maintain confidentiality at all times

- Based on school program requirements

Requirements
- Student participating in a school or placement program
- Reliable, respectful, and willing to learn
- Comfortable interacting with older adults
- Willing to follow Salem Home policies
