Theater Door/Program Attendant

The Theater Door/Program Attendant is responsible for greeting patrons and passing out programs prior to them entering the theater. The Attendant is also responsible for reviewing patrons’ tickets to make sure the patron is entering the correct door of the hall. If a Program Attendant is running low on programs, it is their responsibility to request additional quantities from their Area Manager. 

Typical tasks:

  • Be able to read tickets. In particular, to pay close attention to the door assignment and seating section
  • Deliver a friendly greeting to our patrons
  • Pass out programs as determined in the pre-event meeting
  • Assemble inserts in programs as directed

 

Requirements:

  • Great Customer Service
  • Must be able to share event details (length of performance, intermission, etc.)
  • Must have excellent knowledge of assigned performance venue.
    • Venue Seating Configuration
    • Lobby – restroom, coat check, will call, elevators and concessions
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the event  
  • Be responsible for assisting patrons throughout the performance and be present for late seating
  • Must be able to lift a box of programs and carry/hold a stack of programs
  • Must be able to bend easily to pick up programs, if needed
  • Must be able to stand and open a heavy door during the course of the event
