Donation Pick-up Volunteer (Flexible)
Description:
Every so often the Women’s Centre needs support with a flexible person to pick-up various donations in Calgary and then bring them to the Centre. Pick-up volunteers are an essential part of our ability to support the women in our community.
As a Donation Pick-up Volunteer, you will
- Represent the Women’s Centre with community partners, donors, and organizations by driving to various locations in the city to pick-up donations.
- Load donations into your vehicle and transport those donations back to the Women’s Centre.
What We Need from You
- A reliable vehicle and the ability to drive
- The ability to lift up to 20lbs and climb up and down stairs multiple times.
- Willingness to work with the Women’s Centre values and ways of work.
- Passion and interest for women's issues and in supporting women and building community.
- A friendly, respectful, and welcoming approach to meeting and talking to new people.
- Open availability and the flexibility to pick up donations on an on-call basis during the hours of 9:30am - 7:30pm, Monday - Thursday, and 9:30am - 12:30pm on Fridays.
