Dalhousie Community Association

In this role, as defined in our Terms of Reference, you will collaborate with the Committee Chairperson and other Committee Members to:

• Review and comment on planning applications, including land use changes and development permits, as part of DCA submissions to City of Calgary Planning Services.

• Help inform residents of planning or development matters that could impact them or the community through meetings, contributions to newsletters, social media and website.

• Participate in planning discussions with City of Calgary staff, educational institutions or other groups around development and transportation.

• Help to advocate for the preservation and improvement of Dalhousie’s public spaces.

The DCA believes in an environment of inclusion per our vision of ensuring that “Dalhousie is a vibrant, dynamic and inclusive community that promotes involvement”.

From the Planning and Development Committee perspective, this means recognizing that Dalhousie residents have diverse needs in terms of how they live, work, play and travel and working to facilitate those needs through the evolution of our community’s physical form.

The Planning and Development Committee understands that people’s interests vary and availability may change and we are happy to try and accommodate everyone’s unique circumstances in fulfilling the role of the Planning and Development Committee.
