Program Overview
TGCA and Planet Youth, in partnership with YMCA Calgary, offer free summer programming for teens ages 13–17, focused on building relationships, confidence, and positive peer engagement through structured activities.
Role Overview
Program Facilitators support teen programming by assisting with activities, supervision, and youth engagement while working closely with the Lead Facilitator.
Key Responsibilities
- Support games, workshops, and group activities
- Supervise participants and encourage positive behaviour
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and transitions
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment
- Build positive relationships with youth
Training & Orientation
A volunteer orientation will be held at the TGCA prior to the program starting. All facilitators receive clear guidelines and structured support.

Qualifications
- Clear Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search
- Three references, two of them being professional
- Able to attend and complete required training courses
