The Photographer Volunteer is responsible for taking photographs at NSCR events and programs, uploading and cataloguing images, and preparing documentation to ensure permission is authorized for each person in a photograph. The activities of the Volunteer Photographer are assigned by the Executive Director or Managers. This position may or may not work independently of other staff and volunteers to complete assignments. Photographs may be taken at a variety of locations across the North Shore including at the main NSCR office located in Capilano Mall.
Time Commitment
There is no set weekly or monthly schedule for this position. Generally, the position will require 2-4 hours per month as needed and based on community and program events happening throughout the year. Activities may happen during the week and on weekends including daytime and evening events.
Requirements
Some photography experience is preferred as well as basic knowledge of uploading photos to the agency’s electronic file system. This position requires a person to be able to work independently, have flexible availability, be organized, and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. Must provide own camera that is able to take high resolution photos.
