Community Events & Outreach - Event Parking Assistant (Birdability)
Birdability: Event Parking Assistant
Help make our Birdability event a success by being a volunteer! Event Parking Assistants will help direct traffic to open parking areas, help manage the accessible parking area, direct any shuttles that are dropping of attendees, etc. A staff member will provide directions before your shift.

About the event: Discover many ways to enjoy birding during this FREE Birdability event at Fish Camp County Park. Birdability Week is a time to uplift and amplify the experiences of birders with disabilities and other health concerns, fostering joy, community, and connection with nature. This special event is designed to make birding and the outdoors welcoming, inclusive, safe, and accessible for all. Learn more on the event website.
How to Prepare:
What to Bring:
- Water bottle
- Snacks, if you need them.
- Anything else you need to be comfortable for your shift.
What to Wear:
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather (you will be outdoors).
- Wear appropriate, comfortable shoes.
Accessibility:
- There will be portable restrooms and access to water.
- During this shift, volunteers will be on their feet to talk to people in vehicles.
