YV4C Rain Garden Maintenance and Planting
Join Land Stewards at Stewart Lake to help care for an existing rain garden by weeding, cleaning up the area, and helping with basic plant care. At this hands-on YV4C event, participants will learn how rain gardens and other green infrastructure help soak up stormwater, reduce runoff, and protect local lakes and streams. Volunteers will also get to see a rainfall simulator demonstration led by the Stormwater Education Coordinator from Dane County Land and Water Resources. This is a fun way to build outdoor skills, give back to the community, and make a real difference for local water quality.

Location:
- Volunteers will meet at the Lussier Family Heritage Center at 3101 Lake Farm Rd and ride to Stewart Lake County Park in a Dane County Parks van.
