YV4C Conservation Workday

Are you a young adult between the ages of 14 - 18 and interested in the outdoors? Come join Youth Volunteers for Conservation (YV4C) Program and explore Dane County Parks while contributing to ecological restoration and habitat conservation here in Southern Wisconsin!

Location: 

These workdays vary with location.

• Wednesday August 27 - Monarch Tagging - Lussier Family Heritage Center (3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
• Saturday September 13 - Seed Collecting - Lake Farm County Park Dog Park ( 3398 Lake Farm Road, Madison, WI 53711 Get Directions) 
  
• Saturday October 18 - Seed Sorting - Lake Farm County Park (4330 Libby Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
• Sunday November 9 - Seed Packaging - Lussier Family Heritage Center (Lussier Family Heritage Center (3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
• Saturday December 20 - Brush Cutting - CANCELLED

How to Prepare: 

What to Know:

• In case of cancellation, a notification will be made via email and/or phone to participants who have signed up.
• Participants should be comfortable with walking on uneven terrain. 
• No experience is needed. All tools and training provided.

What to Wear & Bring:

• Participants should dress for the weather. 
• Bring drinking water and a snack if desired.
